Come see over 500 pieces of artwork by Oswego County students!
The Salmon River Fine Arts Center is pleased to host the 29th annual Oswego County Student Art Show & Competition this spring. This show exhibits exemplary artwork of Oswego County students and offers prizes for outstanding pieces. Importantly, it allows the community to see the amazing student talent in our schools.
Works were judged on originality, technical skill and personal style. Each student received a digital certificate for participation. Honorable mentions were given a ribbon. Over $1,500 in cash prizes were awarded, including an overall Best of Show for $100, plus additional cash awards for two age groups: grades 10, 11, and 12 AND grades 7, 8, and 9 in the following categories:
- Drawing, First Place • Second Place • Third Place
- Painting, First Place • Second Place • Third Place
- Mixed Media & Printmaking, First Place • Second Place • Third Place
- Photography, First Place • Second Place • Third Place
- Digital Art & Animation, First Place • Second Place • Third Place
- Sculpture & Fine Craft, First Place • Second Place • Third Place

Exhibition. The show will be hung in the gallery of the art center for viewing from April 3 - 26 and can be seen during gallery hours.
Pick up artwork. After the show, artwork can be picked up on Thursday and Friday, May 1 - 2, noon - 6 pm; and Saturday, May 3, 10 am - 2 pm, or by appointment.
