We are holding our third annual 6 x 6 Community Art Show, a fundraiser for our community arts center, and everyone is invited to participate. As the show name implies, each entry is 6-inches x 6-inches in size. All art submitted is donated to the center and will be for sale for $15 each. All sales benefit the Salmon River Fine Arts Center. You don’t have to be a member or an artist to participate, all art is hung anonymously, and there is no entry fee. We are offering classes during January focusing on 6 x 6 artwork.

Call for submissions. We are inviting YOU and anyone in our surrounding communities to create art for our 6 x 6 Community Art Show, a fundraiser for our community arts center. You don’t have to be a member or an artist to participate, all art is hung anonymously, and there is no entry fee. Projects are due at the center Thursday, January 27 – Saturday, Jan 29, during open hours, and will be displayed until March 5. Here is the 6 x 6 Show entry form to accompany entries. Show Preview Thursday, Feb 3 & Friday, Feb 4, noon - 6 pm. Everyone is invited to preview the inspiring and eclectic artworks our community of artists have created for our 6 x 6 Community Art Show.

VIP Opening and Early Purchasing of 6 x 6 Artwork. A special opportunity for VIP patrons (those who have donated $100 or more during the year) to make early purchases of artwork from this show. Patrons can view and make purchases in our gallery on Friday, February 4, 6 - 8 pm.

Exhibition and Public Purchase Opportunities from Saturday, February 5 - Saturday, March 5. Everyone is invited to see our 6 x 6 Community Art Show and purchase artworks from February 5 - March 5. This exhibit can be seen and purchases can be made during regular gallery hours. All artworks are $15 and benefit the community’s arts center.

Pick Up Purchased and Unsold Art March 10 - March 12, gallery hours. Please come to the Fine Arts Center on any of the stated dates to pick up your art treasures during regular gallery hours. And thanks so much for making this special community event a great success

The Salmon River Fine Arts Center is pleased to host the 26th annual Oswego County Student Art Show & Competition this spring. This show exhibits exemplary artwork of Oswego County students and offers prizes for outstanding pieces. Importantly, it allows the community to see the amazing student talent in our schools.

The dates to submit artwork and images are Friday, April 8, noon - 6 pm; Saturday, April 10, 10 am - 2 pm; or by appointment. To avoid large gatherings, the opening reception and awards ceremony will be held via Facebook Live on Sunday April 24th at 1 pm. The show will be hung in the gallery of the art center as well as displayed online for viewing from April 21 - May 21.

Works will be judged on originality, technical skill and personal style, and the winners will be awarded cash prizes. Grades 7, 8 and 9: First place $100. Second place $50. Third Place $25. Honorable Mention certificates. Grades 10, 11 and 12: First Place $100. Second Place $50. Third Place $25. Honorable Mention certificates.

Each year the Salmon River Fine Arts Center offers non-professional artists an opportunity to enter artworks in our Sunday Artists Show and Competition, held at the Salmon River Fine Arts Center. This is a great opportunity to present work for competition and display in our gallery. If you are a non-professional artist, you are invited to submit works for this show; you do not need to be a member of the Fine Arts Center. Physical artwork and digital images must be submitted May 26 - 28. The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 5, at 1 pm. The show will be exhibited in the Salmon River Fine Arts Center gallery June 2 - July 2.

The exhibition will be from July 14 - August 27 in the Fine Arts Center, gallery hours. If you are a member, please consider showing your work in this event. The dates to submit artwork are July 7 - 9, during open hours.

You are invited to participate in the 3rd annual “Hooked on the Salmon River,” a themed exhibition that celebrates fishing and the beauty of the Salmon River. The exhibit was developed to feature work from the region’s fine artists inspired by this beautiful and swift-flowing river that runs through the small historic village of Pulaski, drawing fishermen, nature enthusiasts and tourists from all over the globe. All styles and genres of fine art and fine craft will be accepted from both emerging and established artists 18 and older. Artwork must have been completed in the last two years. The application deadline is August 8, artwork submission dates are September 1 - 3, the opening reception is September 9, and the exhibit will be on display from September 9 - October 22 at the Salmon River Fine Arts Center.
