Sunday Artists Show & Competition 2024

Current Exhibition

Exhibition Dates: May 23 - June 22

The “Sunday Artists” Show is an annual exhibit featuring original work of amateurs, emerging artists, and semi-professional artists (those not making a livelihood with their art). To make judging more equitable, there were cash awards for these three levels. The purpose of this show is to inspire and give individuals the opportunity to engage with other artists and have their artwork publicly exhibited and professionally judged. Artists do not need to be a member of the Fine Arts Center to enter this show.

Judging and Awards. Work was judged on originality and creativity, aesthetic quality and visual impact, technical skills and craftsmanship. Cash prizes were awarded for best of category for each level listed below. Additional prizes were awarded based on the number of entries received. This year’s juror was Sharon Blair (see bio below).

Artwork was judged based on three category levels:

  • Amateur Level 1. Don’t have website, never won in a juried show.
  • Emerging Artist Level 2. Trying to establish themselves as artists (may sell to friends).
  • Semi-professional Level 3. Has an artist website; sells work to public.

Exhibition. The show will be exhibited in the Salmon River Fine Arts Center gallery May 23 - June 22 and can be seen during gallery hours.

Gallery of Show Winners: See gallery of show winners all categories.

Pick up artwork. After the show, artwork can be picked up June 27 - 29 during gallery hours.
